This reopening plan emphasizes the health and safety for our students and staff as we transition back from a hybrid model of instruction to being together each day. These plan details allow a path forward to a full reopening, while continuing to be diligent with layered safety measures.

The Moreland School District will be providing Chromebooks to every student in grades 3-8 this month, reaching a 1:1 technology milestone and ensuring successful in-classroom, remote, and at-home learning for all students.

The California Healthy Kids Survey (CHKS) is the largest statewide survey of resiliency, protective factors, and risk behaviors in the nation. The Moreland School District will administer the CHKS to 6th grade students from March 1 to March 12, 2021

Moreland School District is proud to announce a new distance learning support and Extended Day program! Our program will be available for Moreland students in grades TK-5. 
Our program is contingent on enrollment at each Extended Day site. Operation hours will follow the distance learning school bell schedule.

It is with great excitement that we share that our Santa Clara County Public Health Department waiver to safely bring a limited number of students back to campuses has been approved. This means that with proper planning and following the Public Health Department and State guidelines, Moreland may safely bring back for in-person instruction in a limited capacity: students who could not engage effectively last spring, students of essential workers and some Special Education students.

Due to the extreme high level Air Quality Index caused by the Bay Area fires yesterday, Moreland’s initial opening of Satellite Programs were postponed from opening today until air quality levels can be evaluated early next week. In the meantime, District staff will continue to plan on safe ways to bring back a limited number of students to campus.
