MiM received a grant through the Classics for Kids Foundation that will provide Moreland's award-winning orchestras with half the cost toward four high-quality violins and violas. Currently, Moreland has approximately 1000 students in the 4th - 8th grade music program.

Moreland Middle School student, Ashwin Rajan, has received a Grand Award at Johns Hopkins University's Grand Award Ceremony in October in Baltimore, Maryland.

Easterbrook Discovery School's LEGO robotics team has qualified to advance to the Silicon Valley District Championship to be held in the beginning of 2017

Students from Easterbrook Discovery, Latimer and Moreland Middle placed in the top 10 rankings at the West Valley Athletic League Cross Country meets. Students competed against almost 100 others in both private and public middle schools in West San Jose, Campbell and Los Gatos.

Two Moreland Middle School students were selected to serve as the two Middle School representatives for the City of Campbell Youth Commission. Chosen from among 25 applicants, Youth Commissioners will act in an advisory capacity to the Campbell City Council on matter relating to youth and teens.

In the 2nd year of results for the new California state assessment system, the increased scores continue to demonstrate how Moreland students are succeeding with the new, more rigorous, college and career-ready California standards.

After competing against several middle school bands throughout the region at Milpitas High School, host of the festival, the EDMS students received excellent ratings at the Music in the Parks Festival.

The District took advantage of the historically low interest rate environment, locking in savings of over $4.9 million for local taxpayers by refinancing Measure C and Measure J bonds approved by voters in 1995 and 2002.

The Moreland Middle School (MMS) Symphonic Band and Symphonic Orchestra both scored “unanimous superior” ratings at the Music in the Parks Festival.

Eva Chesnut, Community Liaison at Anderson Elementary School, has been selected by the Santa Clara County Office of Education as the Classified Employee of the Year in the Services and Security category. Eva is one of six people in the County who is being recognized for her exemplary services.
