Nine Grants Awarded to Moreland Schools Through Moreland Education Foundation (MEF)

December 11, 2024, San Jose, CA:  Moreland School District schools have been awarded nine Enrichment Grants through the Moreland Education Foundation (MEF) Grants Program. A total of $15,000 in grant money was awarded to six schools and various programs to enhance student learning. 

 

The funding supports a range of opportunities including a coding robot, an outer space data collection program, and a student knitting club. This year, MEF focused on applicants working towards the Moreland School District Strategic Plan Goal 2: “Students are Actively Engaged in their Communities and Globally Aware.”

 

The following grant award recipients were chosen for programs or materials that go beyond the school budget.

The MEF Grants program supports innovative and creative approaches to education in all areas of learning, student enrichment, and community engagement. 

 

MEF will issue a second round of grants for the 2024-25 school year. The process to gather applications will begin in January 2025.
