Moreland School District was honored with a Certificate of Recognition from the California Assembly and Special Recognition Award from the Santa Clara County Office of Education. 

Moreland was nominated for Moreland Middle School’s Unity Club, library resources and support for LGBTQ+ inclusion and education. Unity Club Advisor Ashley Benjamin accepted the awards at SCCOE's LGBTQ+ History Month Showcase event on October 1.
