In March 2020, the Moreland community passed an $80 million bond to update student learning environments for 21st century learning, repair and replace leaky roofs and inefficient HVAC systems, ensure schools are safe and well-maintained, and ensure children’s playgrounds, walkways and fields meet current health and safety standards.
The first phase of bond projects began in 2021, which includes improved infrastructure for roofs and HVACs, plumbing, district-wide security fencing and lighting, the completion of the Moreland Middle School quad and shade structure, along with a newly refurbished playfield at Anderson Elementary.
As we enter into the second phase of the Measure M Bond, we are looking for your input! The next set of projects include refurbishing our tracks and fields, ensuring walkways and playgrounds meet standards, and ensuring spaces support extracurricular and enrichment activities (such as sports, assemblies, performances, etc.) We will be hosting community meetings to gather feedback from staff, families and community members. Each meeting is specific to the school site and designated as such.
The dates for each community meeting are below. All meetings are 5:30-7:00 p.m.
Meetings at school sites will be hosted in the school's library.
We hope you will join us!
